The First Key In A Victorious Christian Walk

In scripture, Paul made the statement, “I die daily”. Obviously, he wasn’t referring to a physical death, but rather a death to his daily desires and ambitions.

As we travel through life we are faced daily with decisions, both small and large. With each of these decisions, as Christians, we make choices that either align with Good’s will or ignore God’s will. When Paul made that statement, he was simply saying, “I ignore my will daily and follow God even when I don’t feel like it”. He had to make a conscious effort to die daily to his flesh.

If we ever wish to be committed Christians and have God’s blessings in our lives we must learn this truth. The greatest enemy we truly have is ourselves and our own selfishness. Once we learn to die to our self, living our lives for God and others, we have begun the greatest step forward that we can make in the Christian life – that of a life without self.
